Caleb and I spent most of this weekend moving everything to the new place and unpacking and organizing. I think the pugs like the new place too, which is great. They seem to adapt very quickly. There are just a handful of things still at the old place that I'll get sometime this week, but other than that, we're all set. I like having a place to ourselves again.

Weekend Bustle

This past weekend was filled with "emotion." Saturday was Jackson's first birthday at Gemini Springs State Park. Caleb and I brought a badminton set for everyone to play and I think it was a "hit."
And...on Sunday Caleb and I did some more moving - so far both of our offices are done and most of the kitchen. I'd say the majority of the living room is also done. We plan to get the rest of the stuff over there this coming Sunday. Speaking of the new place, while I was doing a load of laundry there I had yet another heart stopping experience. I was in the process of washing the couch cushions (pushing them into the washer b/c there were air bubbles trapped inside) I noticed that my diamond had fallen out! (AGAIN!) So, I immediatly stop the flow of water which was already 3/4 the way to the top, take out the sopping wet fabric in the washer and search frantically, but "calmy" through the crevices of the fabric. No such luck. So, my next option is to try inside the washer. I reach my hand in the water and much to my surprise, the first place I place my hand at the bottom of the washing machine I feel the little diamond. I ever so carefully take it out and breathe a HUGE sigh of relief!! I told Caleb that apparently I'm not supposed to do house work with this engagement ring so he'll have to do everything now. Anyhow, I brought the ring in yesterday to get it reset. I'm not so sure that I'll be so lucky a third time if it falls out, though. I may want to just get a new band to set the diamonds.
And, last but not least, a wedding update - photography is booked and crossed off my list. Jennifer Fortin Photography is whom we've decided to go with for the special day.

Red vs. Phillys

My grandparents, Caleb and I went to a Spring Training game in Sarasota, FL today - the weather was great - a little cooler than last year, but not much. (Perhaps I should mention that there was a little bit of a scare before the game b/c as I was putting some sunblock on my face, I took my ring off and held the ring with my lips. Well, it dropped on the floor and as I picked it up, noticed that a stone had fallen out...*slight panic*... so everyone was on their hands and knees, looking for the stone....LUCKILY, after 10-15 minutes or so Grandma Jean found it! *relief!* Thank goodness! Now, I just have to get it reset!) Going back to baseball...Caleb found GREAT tickets online for the game - first row, along the third base line. It was nice to have the leg room and not have to look over anyone's shoulder. (Please note, however, that Caleb is still a Red Sox fan first and foremost - it's just that we couldn't make it to any of the spring training games with the Sox playing.) Anyhow, here are a few pics from the day :)

Did some more moving this weekend . . . I have my entire office in the new place now so that's one room done. I'm thinking of starting on the kitchen or the bedroom next. I'm basically just brining over the stuff that I don't need every single day right now. Our goal is to have everything over there in the next 2-3 weeks.

Alpaca Farm

A few girls in the Tuesday Night Knitting Group went to an Alpaca Farm in Brooksville, FL yesterday. It was a lot of fun - the owners of the farm were so welcoming and full of alpaca information...and yes - there was roving and yarn available. They welcome visitors, check them out! Had a garage sale this morning...luckily the rain stopped by the time I wanted to set up. The wind was still pretty strong though. It was a challenge to get everything set up so that the wind wouldn't knock things down. I was happy with my signs though - I put several of them at the end of the streets...and I made sure that they were big enough for people to see. I hate garage sale signs that are so tiny you can hardly see the arrow or the street name. When people slow down to look at them that's an accident waiting to happen. So, hopefully my large signs eliminated that. Overall, I'm pleased with the sale - I got rid of some stuff so I don't have to move them with me again...and made a few bucks. I think Caleb and I may go out to dinner tonight with the earnings...

This is fun...give it a try then post what you got :)

Tuesday Night Knitting Club

I've finally updated the little slide show that I've had on the right column of the blog. The pictures were getting a little dated (they were from December). are a few more that didn't get into the slide show, but are just as good ;)

Another weekend bites the dust...

Well, the weekend has come and gone WAY too fast once again...This Saturday was filled with going to a few Garage Sales in the morning, getting some wedding stuff done in the afternoon and then the never ending laundry/cleaning, etc. Caleb and I went to Urban Flats out in Winter Park for dinner - highly recommended. I had the turkey, pear and brie flatbread which was delicious. Caleb had the Fig and Proscuitto flatbread which was surprisingly good. They have mastered putting different (and not so common) ingredients together that pair very well together.

Sunday I made a trip back up to my old stomping grounds. I had a chance to see little Aaron for the first time. He is adorable and even let me be his pillow as he took a little nap. I definitely need practice with holding a baby. It's so awkward. (Oh, and of course it was nice to see Mary Helen and Brian too...)

Once I got home from Jax, I found that Caleb had made some red velvet cupcakes...yum! What a great way to end the weekend!
