BLAH...

Describes how I'm feeling today...an extension of what was bothering me yesterday - fever, coughing, sneezing, weakness. So I stayed home from work...the pugs enjoyed their mid afternoon romp outside...they usually don't get that when Caleb and I are at work!

Here are the pugs in the backyard...

This is Emmett running back to me to say hello.

Old Spanish Sugar Mill

January 5, 2008 Caleb's family and mine went to the Old Spanish Sugar Mill in DeLeon Springs State Park - it was a wonderful breakfast with both families...and a very filling meal! Most of the meal is cooked right in front of you - everyone is their own chef. I remember going this restaurant a long time ago, maybe when I was 8 or 10 years old...although I remember the restaurant being so big! It actually is a quaint restaurant with just a few tables. Nonetheless it is memorable. Caleb's family went there when he was younger as well. Below are a few pictures from that day.

Red Sox Tickets

Caleb and I will be staying in Cape Cod for a few days in July this summer...the family is renting a house and we plan to stay there for a bit. Caleb would like to attend a Red Sox game while we are up there...any one have suggestions on how to get them??!! They play the Yankees one weekend we may be up there and then LA...I'm told that games vs. Yankees are impossible to get! We're going to start our searching now - Craigslist, Stubhub, etc. Any other suggestions are welcome!

End of Jaguar Season ;(

It was a tense game last night as the Jacksonville Jaguars tried to come out with a win against the undefeated New England Patriots up in Massachusetts. The opening drive for the Jags resulted in a touchdown - unfortunately the Patriots were able to answer the touchdown with one of their own. And so the game went, Patriots taking advantage of every error made by the Jaguars. Congrats to the Patriots for their win - although I'm now cheering for the Colts to win the Championship - conference rivals to the Jags, yes, but they are just a great team to watch and cheer on if my Jags aren't in it.

Can't wait to see the Jaguars next season - just 7 months away!!!

Found: Wedding Dress

How lucky can I be? The second dress I try on is perfect - really. Love the style, love the color, no alterations needed...WOW. That's a good day - check that off the list!

...And, a little song to encourage the Jags tonight as they play the New England Patriots...

To put a smile on your face . . .

My cousin Praeman sent me this in an email...thought I'd share. Enjoy!

20 Ways To Maintain A Healthy Level of Insanity

1. At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a

hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.

2. Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.

3. Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries

with that.

4. Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "In."

5. Put decaf in the coffee maker for 3 weeks. Once everyone has gotten

over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso.

6. In the memo field of all your cheques, write "For Smuggling Diamonds"

7. Finish all your sentences with "In Accordance With The Prophecy."

8. Don t use any punctuation

9. As often as possible, skip rather than walk.

10. Order a diet water whenever you go out to eat, with a serious face.

11. Specify that your drive-through order is "To Go."

12.. Sing along at the opera.

13. Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme.

14. Put mosquito netting around your work area and play tropical sounds
all day.

15. Five days in advance, tell your friends you can't attend their
party because you're not in the mood.

16. Have your co-workers address you by your wrestling name "Rock
Bottom".

17. When the money comes out of the ATM, scream "I won, I won!"

18. When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot,
yelling, "Run for your lives, they're loose!!"

19. Tell your children over dinner, "Due to the economy, we are going
to have to let one of you go."

20. And the final way to keep a healthy level of insanity? ... Send
this e-mail to someone to make them smile. It's called therapy.

Merry 2008!

Happy New Year! The old saying is so true - the older you get the faster time flies. Honestly where does the time go?!

Here are a few things that I hope to accomplish in 2008:
1. Get married to Caleb :) (We're thinking about June now)
2. Learn how to play tennis (lessons scheduled to begin next week!)
3. Learn how to play either the guitar or violin
4. Keep going to the gym to try and stay healthy
5. Buy a home
6. Continue attending my knitting group, keep building those friendships
7. Be nicer to people
8. Look into volunteering with an agency
9. To be continued...
